At ONA, we believe that photos can tell powerful stories that help make a difference in the world. Charity: water, a nonprofit organization that brings clean, safe drinking water to the millions of people living without it, uses inspiring images to help tell the story of how clean water is transforming lives around the globe.

Charity: water just launched its September Campaign, highlighting the Sahel region: it's one of the harshest places in the world to live. The Sahel is a narrow strip of land in Africa just below the Sahara Desert. This area is frequently affected by drought and famine, and access to clean water is rare. The September Campaign wants to bring clean water to 100,000 people in the Sahel region of Mali and Niger and transform the lives of women and girls through sustainable projects.
When we launched the Sahel Strap last month, we wanted to bring attention to the millions of people living without clean water. Part of the proceeds from every Sahel Strap sold go directly to benefit charity: water operations, helping people like videographer Jamie Leigh Pent continue to draw attention to the international crisis of living without access to clean water. We're proud to support the work that charity: water does, and we encourage you to get involved: you can donate directly by starting a September Campaign or purchasing a Sahel Strap.
