Jorge Quinteros’s motto - “there’s no such thing as strangers, just people we haven’t met yet" – permeates his work. An NYC-based photographer, Jorge specializes in lifestyle and portraiture, imbuing both with a deeply humanistic, relational world view. His approach evinces an eclectic blend: formal graphic design training, a high-end retail pedigree for establishing relationships, and five years living abroad in El Salvador.
Jorge recently embarked on a 4-day assignment to Cuba with his wife, and he generously shared an edit of photos from his trip.

For me, Cuba immediately became one of those places you visit once and there's a commanding obligation to go back again. You realize there are places you’ve yet to visit, sights you yet to observe, food you haven't relished and stories which have yet to influence your perspective in life. In spite of the brief stay, it didn’t for a minute take away the feeling of having been emotionally moved by the country’s absolutely breathtaking and impactful scenery.
Havana is a city where life is lived out on the street. Sometimes, I would feel overwhelmed which made it difficult for me to be that proverbial “fly on the wall;” regardless of how I tried to remove myself and simply let a person be so that I can capture them in their full element, it was impossible to walk away without being inquisitive about people’s plight. To my surprise, they were just as curious themselves. - Jorge
