Introducing The Bond Street Bag & The Kyoto Wrist Strap

Today, we are proud to release our second-ever bag designed specifically for mirrorless system cameras, following our 2014 collaboration with Leica Camera to celebrate their 100th anniversary. As with all of our designs, the Bond Street was initially born out of community feedback and anecdotes, as well as our own hypothesis that lighter, smaller but still powerful mirrorless cameras would increasingly make ideal travel partners in our bags. The results of our 2016 survey supported this: today, our community of photographers shoot with mirrorless cameras almost as often as now-standard DSLRs.   The Bond Street adapts our popular Bowery bag into an even more compact silhouette. Handcrafted with our signature full-grain leather, water-resistant waxed canvas, and antique brass hardware, the Bond Street comfortably holds a camera and 1-2 lenses, as well as still many popular DSLR cameras. It features a closed-cell foam padded interior, a removable padded divider, and a zip pocket on back perfectly sized to fit your smartphone, batteries or other small goods. Like the Bowery, the Bond Street can also be stowed as an insert in a larger bag by detaching the strap. We are also proud to release The Kyoto, a camera wrist strap that makes use of the left-over full-grain premium leather that was used in our camera bags. The Kyoto is lined with suede, reinforced for strength, and padded for comfort. A steel key ring clasp and a leather scratch guard allow for compatibility with most cameras; the strap is intended for camera kits up to 6 pounds and has been stress-tested to 10 lbs. For those in the New York area, we invite you to attend one of two photo walks this week to be one of the first to experience the Bond Street and the Kyoto hands-on. On Thursday, we're hosting a lunchtime photo-walk and dumpling crawl in Chinatown, and on Saturday our team will be traveling to Dia:Beacon, to tour the museum and announce our third new release of the year.
